SewCalGal is sponsoring challenges for red and white quilts during 2014.  Check it out at her blog

There are several challenges, the first of them ending on February 9, but still more chances to display and enter your quilt the rest of the year.  I am entering my Vortex Quilt, #3.

This is the 3rd and (I swear) last red and white Vortex, the one I am keeping for myself.  The back was pieced using scraps from all three, and some fabric yardage.

Check out SewCalGal for some great red and white quilts, and enter yours.  Better yet, make one to enter!  I will soon be posting a pattern for a Carpenters Square in red and white, a copy of a quilt that was also in the Infinite Variety Show in NY in 2011.
